Marking another step in the company's commitment to creative safety innovations, Total Safety has released its Industrial Safety Moments app, to promote the discussion of workplace safety.
On 16 July 2015, Total Safety announced the release of its Total Safety Industrial Safety Moments app, available for download on iTunes and Google Play. This convenient new tool is a compliance and training-oriented approach to sharing safety 'moments', and is easily accessible on your mobile device or tablet. The app was designed with workers in mind, with Total Safety experts applying more than 20 years of safety experience to develop relevant, real-world overviews and conversation starters on workplace safety.
Each industrial safety moment links directly to the relevant regulatory requirements, making the access and sharing of critical information easier than ever before. Users can find the perfect safety moment content by first selecting their desired industrial channel, and then searching by solution in a range of safety categories, such as gas detection, emergency rescue, fire prevention, respiratory protection, industrial hygiene and many more.
Total Safety provides a convenient link at the bottom of each safety moment that allows users to receive a slide of the moment for insertion into a presentation. With the touch of a button, users can also easily share the app with a friend.
"If you download this app, you will never again have to struggle coming up with a safety moment to open your meeting or toolbox talk," says Total Safety's global HSE director, Steve Long.
As increasingly stringent regulations create new expectations for workplace operations, technical knowledge requirements are being pushed further than ever before. Total Safety is answering the call with an array of innovative technical solutions, including smart compressors and unconventional breathing air solutions; drone-assisted flare, pipeline and refinery inspections; real-time capture of tank battery and other inspections; advanced centralised confined space monitoring; state-of-the-art fire prevention design and installation; compliance assurance solutions; customised fall protection design and installation; leading hydrogen sulphide and full-spectrum gas detection solutions; industrial hygiene practices and more.
"And we do this with the added bonus of being able to offset some of the liability for our customers," adds Mark Barker, senior vice-president of global business development. "Our size and financial resources provide many advantages for local and multinational clients who are looking for consistency in delivery, record-keeping, billing, equipment and safety processes."
Since the 2014 merger that joined 25 of the world's best safety companies, Total Safety has over 40 years of oil and gas safety experience around the world.
"Our comprehensive approach to safety helps our clients with employees, contractors and the environment," says Barker. "The resulting improvement in performance, and reduction in liability, produces better results for their shareholders and bottom line, through optimised project workflows, improved platform and plant-wide efficiencies, leveraged purchasing power, faster project lifecycles, lightened administrative burdens and increased focus on core competencies."
Total Safety's vision remains the ensurance of the 'Wellbeing of Workers Worldwide' (W3). This commitment will continue to guide the company in its quest to advance safety technologies for the benefit of the industry and customers it serves.
