AGR - A holistic and collaborative approach

In today's competitive climate, the upstream business requires careful technical and economic planning, and a high standard of operational execution to be successful. AGR can assist with its clients' upstream challenges.

The AGR service collaborative model has been designed to enhance value throughout the oilfield life cycle. AGR is focused on its clients' upstream sector needs, providing engineering solutions within software, well construction and drilling project management, logistics, HSEQ, asset evaluations and reservoir management, tailored training through its TRACS training division and by delivering consultancy expertise.

Software designed by the end user to create efficiencies and savings

Today, more than ever before, value is generated from getting the planning phase right the first time, and from having the correct technology and applications to foresee and manage performance throughout the project's lifespan.

AGR has invested heavily in developing software that focuses on streamlining operational project management, allowing its clients to create efficiencies and savings across the board.

AGR's software covers a range of issues. The CT software solution controls cost and time management; M2 visually supports materials management through tracking the movement from the moment of equipment selection, through the supply chain to their eventual return. To understand the risks and uncertainties involved in well delivery, P1 and iQx have also been developed to help clients achieve the highest performance and HSEQ standards.

From frontier exploration to well abandonment and decommissioning

With over 500 wells drilled in the past 15 years and 1,500 reservoirs studied in the past five years, AGR is bridging the gap between subsurface and drilling to reduce risk and the challenges associated with uncertainty. AGR's clients benefit from having easy access to full engineering support at every stage, from frontier exploration right through to well abandonment and decommissioning.

The service offering at AGR can be tailor-made to the individual needs of clients, meaning that the company
is flexible and can take on a wide spectrum of work from ad-hoc well and HSEQ engineering studies, to acting as a client's fully outsourced drilling department. AGR's expertise covers onshore and offshore, deepwater, HPHT, extended reach, horizontal wells, underbalanced drilling, and remote locations and operations in many environmentally sensitive areas.

Subsurface consultancy for a wide spectrum of clients

Combining well engineering with subsurface risk and uncertainty knowledge allows a thorough analytical view and more comprehensive decision criteria. AGR's reservoir experience has been gained from all major basins and reservoir types, including challenging environments such as HPHT, gas condensates, heavy oil reservoirs and complex fractured reservoirs.

The company's subsurface team comprises approximately 70 professionals delivering support in exploration to field development planning, production engineering in conventional and unconventional resources, to looking at enhanced oil recovery techniques. The average experience level of a team member is 20-25 years in the oil and gas industry, setting the company apart from competitors in the petroleum consultancy sector.

AGR's TRACS evaluations team also plays its own critical role in acquisition and divestments, and provides competent person's reports (CPRs), independent engineering reports (IERs) and reserves audits.

Training for growth

An essential part of the collaborative working model is the shared knowledge, and the critical capture and transfer of this knowledge. The TRACS training division has an excellent reputation industry-wide, and has provided tailor-made learning programmes to more than 25,000 oil and gas professionals in 45 countries. The reputable senior tutors, who have worked for international exploration and production majors, deliver graduate, OpenAir, blended learning and masterclass training programmes.

Right labour for the right project

AGR's collaborative ethos and culture extends to its team of seconded consultants working from within client offices globally. Clients and consultants can expect the right people with the right expertise that will make a real difference to a client's project from AGR. At the same time, AGR consultancy has the reach, support and client base to enable consultants to excel.
