Huntsman Democratizes Advanced Analytics Globally with TrendMiner to Improve Overall Operational Performance

TrendMiner, a Software AG company, announces that its customer Huntsman will present at the ARC Industry Forum 2019 in Orlando, USA. Jasper Rutten, Advanced Analytics Manager at Huntsman, will talk about the global democratisation of advanced analytics by empowering their engineers with TrendMiner to speed up root-cause analysis, monitor the production processes and help continuously improve Huntsman’s overall performance and profitability.

As part of a Global Excellence Team, the Advanced Analytics team has a global task to set out the route for digitisation and advanced analytics for Huntsman’s MDI upstream manufacturing facilities. As Rutten explains, “our digitalisation journey started some years ago and one of the quickest wins was to leverage time-series data. As operational data is still kept in separated silos, this adds an extra challenge to improve operational excellence by use of advanced analytics.”

In his presentation at ARC Industry Forum in Orlando, Wednesday 6 February at 10:30 am, Rutten will talk about the Huntsman analytics journey and how self-service analytics helps to make process and asset experts contribute to corporate operational goals. Next to the tools, the journey also was, and still is, about organisational and people aspects.

Rutten continues, “The lessons learned helped new sites to quickly adopt the TrendMiner self-service analytics tool and benchmark site performance independent of the exact location, where the original data is stored. During the presentation, some practical use cases will be shown, which supported our decision to roll out the chosen self-service analytics platform TrendMiner.”
