Main conference

The conference brings together the key players in the international energy industry, ministers and officials from energy-producing nations. The organiser believes it is important to have decision-makers present when major international issues are discussed, and does its best to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across the global energy industry. With topics ranging from global political and environmental issues to finance, security this is the place where energy is explained, giving companies the knowledge they need to be prepared for the future. Day or full passes provide access to the conference, including the official opening ceremony and ONS exhibition. Technical sessions

The ONS Technical Committee has identified 16 challenges in need of new or improved technology. It has invited companies, individuals and organisations to submit their proposals. The companies behind the selected material are then invited to present their ideas at a series of technical sessions.

These grant unprecedented insight into the challenges facing the industry, and discuss possible solutions. You will learn about problems and how far the industry has come in terms of solving them, enabling companies to see if and where their own products or ideas fit in.

The technical sessions are perfect for engineers, procurement officers, management, project managers and so on; access is included in the ONS exhibition ticket.

Central hub

The ONS Centre Court is a future society lab in which attendees can hear from thought-leaders on contemporary global energy issues, sustainable energy technology and their interactions with worldwide economies, the environment and policy-makers.

Expert updates on energy related academic and political topics are made through short presentations and discussions. The central focus is on renewables, sustainable solutions, cleaner oil and gas production, alternative fuels in transport sector, CCS and more.

Centre Court is a conference arena in the middle of the exhibition venue; access is included in the exhibition ticket.

Meet the game-changers

Young talent will have the opportunity to expand their networks and kick-start their careers by engaging with interesting presentations and mingling with their peers from all over the world.

Tomorrow's leaders are, obviously, drawn from today's young people, which is why it's vital for the entire industry to make sure the brightest minds choose a career in oil and gas.

The industry is in a constant state of development; new forms of energy require new technology and the need for cost reduction leads to innovation.

World energy consumption is increasing with greater competition for resources; the challenge is to provide enough energy to the people of the world without further damaging the environment.

In order to solve these challenges, opportunities must be provided for young people with fresh approaches and sharp, critical eyes on established practices.

International markets

This conference, which takes place over three days, aims to help the Norwegian oil and gas industry expand internationally, and will feature country sessions where business opportunities will be introduced and the challenges in each market explored.

Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) - formerly INTSOK - is present in markets all over the world, promoting world-class technology from the Norwegian energy industry. ONS International Markets, which is presented by Norwegian Energy Partners, is a series of half-day market sessions focusing on:

  • the latest market intelligence on upcoming projects
  • technology needs
  • operational challenges.

Renewed interest

Tickets to the ONS International markets can be bought individually for each session. The Renewable Markets seminar will focus on renewable markets and opportunities for technology transfer from the oil and gas supply industry.

This is an excellent opportunity to engage with business and technical leaders across oil, gas and renewable energy, to share insight, highlight innovation and discuss the future of technology in renewable markets.
